Kristin was born in Oslo, her mother Italian, her father Norwegian. She grew up in Norway, and as a bilingual she has been fluent in Italian since childhood. After five years of art history and journalism at the University of Oslo, she started working in the media; VG, NRK and Aftenposten. Moving to Venice in the 1990s, she became a stringer for Aftenposten, the main daily newspaper in Norway. Eventually she began to write articles for others major newspapers and also worked for the government radio NRK. She started to assist Norwegian business and government delegations who came to Italy offering walking tours to private groups. Thus, she began to tailor-make special programs in Venice. She is the author of bestselling 'Amor Fati' (2002) and several other books about personal development. She is also a public speaker and organizes workshops and retreats.
